Hey everyone, this is actually my first post here, but anway, I joined because I was fed up with all the hate for TBS and similar bands constantly bombarding me. The other day I was browsing the net and happened to come across killemo.net. I'm tired of all the misrepresentation of people who listen to good music. I already sent him an e-mail with my feelings on his apparent "comedy" and I'd encourage you all to do the same if you feel the same as I do. Apparently this is a pretty popular page so I think something needs to be done. Anyway, what are your feelings on the subject? |

omfg----wtf-----thats someone who has no idea what he's talking about--1st of all-----he described "emo-ness" completely wrong "emo" people dont cry about breaking a nail in gym--that would be a description for a plastic airheaded girl----if ANYONE wants to bash any specific type of person or group, by all means go ahead but at least get the facts straight first-- "emo" doesn't mean you go home an dcut you're wrists it means you're either utterly depressed , you have problems (not meant offensively) or you want attention..a LOT of attention and NOT in a good way. people have no life especially whoever made that website whoever he/she was---needs to do something better with his/her time because that "website" if you want to call it that has no significance whatsoever and apparently no truth to it at all. ugh im so mad i dont even remember what i'm typing anymore lol im thinking about an email to send him too im quoting from wikipedia to him he recommended it he's getting his feedback i mean for example: At the same time, most current bands are labeled "emo" unwillingly, largely because they share some of the fashion trends and attitudes associated with "emo" as a slang term.

I didn't look at that site, mainly because I know it'll be full of idiocy and juvenile antics, so I don't bother my time reading it knowing it'll just make me mad..  |

I, personally, got a laugh out of it. I mean, I know that music like that is NOT emo. When I think emo I think of Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring, things like that. Different sound.
It was dull, and the person obviously didn't think out what they wrote, but I don't take offense.

wow. funny.
my older brother is straightedge and claims that emo was originally a hardcore genre. like the swing kids and bands like that.
even sunny day real estate isn't what he would call emo
but whatever. that's funny.

i think it's funny how people lable other people being "emo" when it's not a dress code or a way of life so to say, it's a music genre.
hah.
[edit] and people who post hate mail and make sites like that are bored with their own lives and have nothing better to do. lame.
