i dunno, when peeps say emo i think of stuff like TBS and Brand New, not straight away Linkin Park....i think minus Mike SHinoda they could pass as emo but.....hmmmm i'll think about whether i think they are or not....... Yeah, that's true, I guess. But then it wouldn't be Linkin Park. Take Mike away, then it won't be the same.

i think that John has an ok voice..but Fred i dont really know his voice becuase hes trying to sound to much like John...or maybe thats just me?...but i like both there voices...but i do like John's lyrics better...but on Where You Want To Be the lyrics were writen by all of TBS and not just Adam and Fred like on Tell All Your Friends Adam and John wrote them..so ahhh i dunno hmm... i never heard that with fred. i like him so much because he sounds different than john. so it's like they weren't trying to find another john to put in a band, just someone to fill his position. i really like the lyrics on where you want to be. and personally, i think that it is better than tell all your friends, musically and lyrically.

Of course Where You Want to Be is better. The band has had a chance to learn and grow... and a lot of changes happened before this second cd came out. With two of the original members gone, they had to prove to their fans that they could still make good music. You know how some fans are... anal and psycho when it comes to their favorite band... I bet it took some of them awhile to warm up to Fred and Matt.

I won't go into why, as it might start more crap (if you really want to know my reasons, go read the SLR threads)... but Fred isn't supposed to be John. He's Fred. He just happens to play guitar and sing back up like John did.

you know, I ought to close this thread and the straylight run thread and make her start over. This fighting thing has gotten out of hand. No matter what you say and no matter what she says, makes a damn bit of difference to the other. I will not have my best friends fighting and bickering. It really upsets me. :*(
I wont let her fuck with your profile again.
This sucks. *sad*

I think, in her own way, she sort of apologized for attacking my taste in music. And her last reply was about a thousand times more civil than the many before it. I don't want to bicker with her... I just really do hate SLR... I bet she thinks I'm doing it to get at her... I'm not. I just honestly don't care for that band. I hate to upset you.... and I knew the minute I replied on the SLR thread, that's probably how it would end up. I won't post on it any more, ok? No more Nolan-bashing will come out of me. I promise. And that profile thing really did upset me... a lot more than it should have, I know. I blame it on PMS, partly.

Hmm, I like them both. I really liked John's voice and the lyrics on Tell All Your Friends were really amazing. Although the lyrics don't quite add up on Where You Want to Be.. it's still a great album and Fred is very good as well. Especially when he sings on New American Classic.

Pops all the way.
Fred's awesome, I love him a bunch.
John still has no stage presence.
