*ahem* what was that about "no more Nolan bashing"?? hehe sorry just wanted to point that out! but like Laz sed, lets end the bad feelings, it gets like this on the BN board, this should be the happy board, free from little digs at each other and the like. okay... here's my take on this.
john is a wonderfully talented person. he's definitely done amazing things with straylight, and just look how amazing TAYF is.
on the other hand... i really feel that fred is better for the sound/progression of the band. TBS is capable of going soooooo far. and also, has anyone noticed how much better adam and fred interact/get along? and that's a BIIIIG deal.
i've read old interviews with adam and john and they're always arguing... in a not-so-friendly way, sometimes. i dunno.
annnnnd yeah, i heart fred times seven thousand, and john bugs me, so i'm kinda biased... but yeah! my opinion! haha.

Hahaha its true. the UK release of TAYF has an interview on it and John is asked what he thinks of Adam. its soooo funny. Erm Emotion? vocals dont break because of the "emotion", not every performance has that emotion its just a general sound. johns voice cracks because he pushes it, and i think it gives a better sound, if i wanted to hear beautiful clean vocals id listen to George Michael or something. as the person who said they are a male vocalist i agree, having less range and not wanting to sound bland can lead to breaking vocals. I have a freind that loves Sting and Travis, and he has this really clean smooth voice, it sounds awsome when he sings that stuff, but when he sings SLR or BN it just doesnt sound convincing. Johns vocals are what makes SLR so special regardless of actual talent. As for fred and john, im not sure how you can compare the disaster that is WYWTB. its not bad, but its very "easy to get into" im not sure thats what i like in bands. the album is very sellable. Fred seems nice enough but has a bland and boring voice. taking back sunday are half the band they were... He is a Replacement not a new member. this has all been said im sure. but it hasnt been said by me yet. well not on this board. |

the way i see it adam loves john. but john doesnt love adam. like adam says he loves john and he is his best friend and hes lived with him ever since he moved to NY and shit.
Johns like "well he always wants attention he craves it, on and off the stage"
hahahaha. Shaun and Mark also confess their love for eachother.
It was so obvious how unhappy john was tho, and i think ed didnt like that because he wasnt to nice about john, branding him a "recluse".

Actually I like both of them.I think John is better in the whole screaming thing.But I prefer Fred.
